Family Matinee
Our Family Matinee performance is geared towards families with younger children and patrons who want all of the fun of the original Concert for Kids but in a shorter, more compact afternoon performance. The run-time for this concert will be approximately an hour and fifteen minutes with no intermission. Readings and a visit from Jolly Old St. Nick round out an afternoon of music and dance. As an added bonus, a free do-it-yourself holiday craft will be included with every child's ticket to this afternoon celebration!

Evening Pops
The original Concert for Kids is our evening pops performance. Continuing our annual tradition of ringing in the season with traditional and contemporary holiday music performed by choirs, orchestra, special guest artists and dancers, this concert spans generations and genres. The run-time for the evening concert will be approximately two hours with an intermission. Readings by WBAL On-Air personalities and a visit from Saint Nick help make this an evening to remember.
General Admission Tickets: $20.00

Classical Concert
In response to many requests we are pleased to add a concert of classical and traditional music to our series. A chamber choir and chamber orchestra will present an evening of traditional and new holiday music in arrangements and new compositions by John Rutter, Ralph Vaughan Williams, David Willcocks and one of today's most revered choral composers, Eric Whitacre.* Take a moment to slow down this holiday season and reflect. This concert will be performed at the Owen Brown Interfaith Center off Cradlerock Road.
General Admission Tickets: $15.00

Here's what people are saying about the Concert for Kids:
I have been associated with the “Concert For Kids” since 2012 when Philip Hale contacted me with his fantastic idea to tie it into the WBAL Radio Kids Campaign. Two of my colleagues at WBAL Radio are now part of it as well, Clarence Mitchell IV (C-4) and Bill Vanko. It is now part of my annual holiday tradition. Please join us this year as we experience some exceptional local talent, make a holiday memory, and help give a Christmas to a “kid” who needs one.
John Patti - WBAL Radio News Anchor (and Howard County resident)
...It is hard to put into words how awe-inspiring this event was. It was absolutely the best in student performance that Howard County has to offer: singing, instrumental playing, and dance. And it was the picture of Rouse's dream for Columbia: racially, ethnically, and economically diverse--all coming together, using their talents, to help others...
